Varlink was established in late 2005 as a Specialist Distributor of rugged mobile computing and associated data capture products. Opticon products have featured in our portfolio right from the start. Our products are marketed to mobile computing solution specialist resellers and to IT resellers & systems integrators who want to develop, or build, a position in the supply of mobile computing and data capture products or solutions.

Over the past year we have seen a number of broadliners add mobile computing and data capture /Auto ID products to their product range. This has spurred us to further develop our product/service mix so as to increase the competitive gap between ourselves and the broadliners as well as international and local Auto ID distributor competitors.

Opticon devices are a key component in the success that we are enjoying. We believe that our goal of being recognised as a member of the IT community was achieved when we were named as the CRN Emerging Company of Year in 2007.
